The Telangana Department of Education has approved a government order limiting the weight of school scholarships for elementary school students.

Under the new rule, students up to class five will not be required to carry bags weighing more than five kilos.

This new order has been well received by faculties of the educational sector.

While speaking to ANI, Manjulatha Narra, the head of a government school said: "It is a very good decision and all schools should implement it. Private schools give a lot of work, so they must implement this.
